Woodland Pond One of America’s Best
Woodland Pond at New Paltz Named One of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities by Newsweek
We’re proud to announce that Woodland Pond at New Paltz has been named as one of America’s best continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) in 2024 by Newsweek. CCRCs are becoming increasingly popular options for senior living, and this is the first year Newsweek has offered this award.
What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)?
Woodland Pond is a CCRC dedicated to serving those 62 and better. Continuing care retirement communities, or CCRCs, offer independent living with a combination of a private residence, services and amenities and Lifecare in return for a monthly fee and an entrance fee. CCRCs offer services such as assisted living, Alzheimer’s/memory support care, skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services on site so that residents may continue to stay within the same community, close to their spouse, friends and neighbors, even as their care needs may change. Woodland Pond is here to meet your needs.
How were the awards decided?
Newsweek partnered with the respected global research firm Statista to determine the ranking of CCRCs in America. Out of the over 2,000 CCRCs in the country, Newsweek awarded America’s Best to the top 250, with Woodland Pond coming in high on the list. According to Newsweek, they looked for “places where residents not only live but thrive.”
