Woodland Pond Recognized by Newsweek as One of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities for 2026
Woodland Pond at New Paltz is proud to announce that we have once again been recognized among the very best retirement communities in the United States in Newsweek’s America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities 2026 rankings.
In partnership with global research firm Statista, Newsweek evaluated approximately 1,900 Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) and Life Plan Communities nationwide. From this extensive group, only 330 communities were selected as the nation’s leading CCRCs—and Woodland Pond earned a place among them. We are also honored to be ranked #3 in New York State for 2026.

The Newsweek rankings are based on a rigorous scoring system designed to reflect both quality and resident experience. Communities were evaluated using the following criteria:
